Last holiday vacation, I did not do anything but to watch movie or series in my computer. One of them is The Silver Linings Playbook, starring Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper. There were lines from the movie that made me realize a few things about my life before, and what I'm doing right now.
Yes I admit. I failed with my "supposed" profession (a nurse). It's really hard to think about it. The pain and disappointment really made my self-esteem very low. I see myself hurting. The process of healing was long as it was very hard for me to forgive myself. Day by day I started to feel that my hard work is worthless.
You have to do everything you can, you have to work your hardest, and if you do, if you stay positive, you have a shot at a silver lining.-- Pat (The Silver Linings Playbook)
When I see my work as a plus size designer from ERZULLIE'S Pre-Holiday and Holiday 2013 collection, for the first time, I feel genuinely PROUD of myself... thinking, Damn!! It's so beautiful and I looovee it!
It makes me realize that I was wrong... It's okay to fail. You just have to do what is in your heart's desire... and the universe will move for you! Forgive yourself and be happy!
"There's always going to be a part of me that's sloppy and dirty, but I like that. With all the other parts of myself. Can you say the same about yourself f**ker? Can you forgive?"-- Tiffany (The Silver Linings Playbook)
You guys are making wonderful things for the plus size community and I am proud of you guys. Besides people who are really successful have failed countless of times they just didn't give up *huge hugs*
ReplyDeleteI feel like I didn't make any sense at all XD
Awww!!! HUGS!!! And thank you for appreciating our work. I was thinking if i pursue my nursing career, I will never see the beauty of all things around me.
ReplyDeletehugs...
We fall and we fail and that's what makes us human. What you do after is what matters in the end. :) Proud of you, Berna and the work you do with Aries!

Thanks Abi! That's true. I'm sure there's more blessing to come. Hugs :)
ReplyDeleteI just love how you made it BIG. And how you stood up for "US". Size is only a number. But seeing to it that you stood up for us, is just beyond patriotic. I am in awe. Please continue to inspire me and others. If given the chance, I would love to become one of this brand's ambassadors. I am more than willing to represent. I will enter the search for "Erzullie's Icon" this year. I can't wait. xoxo
